Our Sash Windows are made up of panes of glass that are set into a sash, which then moves up and down or side to side.  Originally these windows are constructed in wood, however today there are many different types of materials, variations and finishes that are available. The classic variation of these double – hung Sash Windows are often found in six over six; two rows in each section which is then divided into three panes for each. There is then a total of six panes in the top section and the bottom section.

    • Horizontal sliding Sash Windows

These types of Sash Windows slide sideways within the window frames. Horizontal sliding Sash Windows are not as common as the other two and are often referred to as Yorkshire Windows, as the style is typical to that area.
